Leather Care

If you desire your leather to last a long time and look great then it requires maintenance.  Don't be discouraged from a leather product because it requires work. Caring for your leather is simple and easy and can be done while watching your favorite show or sitting on your porch enjoying some fresh air. Here are a few products I use on my leather goods, just click on the blue link.

Saddle Soap Natural: Saddle soap is a great way to clean leather that has just been through a lot. Just use it sparingly and when the leather is truly in need of it. I have used this to great effect on boots that have the wrong polish color on them or to clean belts from dirt and debris. Consider applying a conditioner after using saddle soap. (Note* Saddle soap can remove color from your leather.)

Bick 4 Leather Conditioner:

Plain and simple. Leather is the skin of an animal. And like your hands in the winter without conditioning it will crack and dry out. You can think of Bick 4 conditioner as lotion but for leather.

Skidmore's Leather Cream:

I've recently started using this conditioner and find it works wonderfully. This will really give your leather a soft feel to it and make your leather product far more pliable. It is used with all natural products and made right here in America.

Smith's Leather Balm:

Another great way to protect your leather is to apply leather balm. This will give the leather a slight waxy feel but also gives it a nice shine and some water resistant properties.

simply apply with a cotton cloth, it is easy to use and works wonderfully.
